Darkness Falls

I had heard of this movie a couple of years ago from one of my friends who said it was the scariest thing ever. I remember thinking that I HAD to watch, but I eventually forgot about it, and never ended up watching it. This past weekend, another it was weirdly brought up again, and I was like, okay I NEED to watch this. I did what I said.

The movie starts with a story of an old woman that little children used to take their fallen out teeth to in exchange for a gold coin. The womans was mysteriously hit with tragedy as her house was set on fire, which gave her an ugly and horrifying burnt face, and she was hanged. A story is produced about this woman, or tooth fairy, in the town of Darkness Falls who can only get to you in the dark, and if you see her, she will come after you until you are dead. A boy named Kyle, after losing his last tooth, sneaks a peek in the night as he awaits to see if this story is actually true. The evil tooth fairy ceases to kill him, but gets his mother, which results in him being charged for murdering her because, well who would believe a story that a tooth fairy caused the murder. Anyways, the boy grows up, and has to face his childhood back in Darkness Falls as his old friend, Caitlin, calls him to help her little brother who is experiencing the same thing he did long ago. Hence, the journey of the killer tooth fairy begins.

Sounds really stupid, doesn't it. Why would I watch it then? Well ,the two people who described it to me made it seem so scary and cool. Well, nice try guys, but it wasn't. I literally fell asleep halfway through. At first, I was into it and all, but the effects of and the storyline was just blah. I probably would never watch it again, only if I wanted to take a nap.
